Outreach to the least of these

His Brethren !

Why should we reach out to the least of these ?

Our G-d, the G-d of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, the G-d of Israel, said to Abraham: "I will bless those who bless you; And I will curse him who curses you;" (Gen. 12:3). He did this promise also to Isaac: "Cursed be everyone who curses you, and blessed be those who bless you" (Gen. 27:29). When Balak, king of the Moabites, the enemy of Israel, called Balaam to curse the people of Israel, he could only say what G-d ordered him to say: "Blessed is he that blesseth thee, and cursed is he that curseth thee" Israel ! (Num. 24:9)

Three times G-d the Father tells us: "Blessed is he who..... blesses Israel" !

Yeshua asks us to do so !

When Yeshua explained why the King separated the sheep from the goats (Mat. 25:31-46) He said: "Then the King will say to those on His right hand, ‘Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me." (vers 34)

‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My (Jewish) brethren, you did it to Me.’ (vers 40)

So, let us; "give them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness"  Isa. 61:3

G-d urgently commands the nations: "Comfort, comfort my people, says your G-d. Speak tenderly to Jerusalem; And call out to her, that her warfare has ended, That her iniquity has been removed".

Isa. 40:1-2
